After the rains had their first round of batting for the evening, they took a 'tea break' and it was my time to have my dinner. Finished watching Matrix Revolutions on Zee Studio. Feeling a bit energetic and eclectic , along with my bro, I went to have my supper the previous day to the same old place and ordered a 'phulka curry' (Rs. 25). Just noticed (which i don't do on a normal day!) that most of the guys in the hotel were wearing jeans including me. including the hotel guys, the servers, guys preparing phulkas, rotis, etc.,
I guess, jeans should be the greatest import from the West. even a below average guy could afford this all-season-wear and tear...zero maintainence cost [ZMC] fabric....how i wish women too belonged to this ZMC group?!!!
yeah there is one more import for the present lot. the fone...not the pco-phone but the mobile phone (forget iphone at this point of time...even i don't want to have the Rs. 31,000 waste!. At Rs. 20K, it is ofcourse useful!!! hehehe...).
i believe, mobile phones gave a new dimension to the changing indian business segment since past few years...
coming to the jeans, i think, "Jeans is the new Dhoti!".... Dhoti - the quintessential "Indian Pride" garment since time immemorial has gradually lost its shine i believe. I am not making any historical statement but jsut observing the trend..the fashion sense...though i haven't worn one in my lifetime till now (lungi? yeah couple of times!!!. pls don't ask me the difference though)..just observing the trend in urban india...it (dhoti) still is the garment in the rural areas but i guess, that is changing...
imagine, Gandhiji in a jeans fighting for the stuggle! weird huh?!!!
i donno if this is good or not...but yeah...who can stop the change...the only thing which is constant!!!
Thinking bout it actually a dhoti revolution can be started ;-)........ and gandhiji and dhoti remember POORNA SWARAJ ha ha
